Itinerary
DAY 1
Lima
Assistance at your arrival
to Lima Airport and transfer to your hotel. There you will receive a
briefing on your tour and vouchers covering all the services included.

DAY 2
Lima
City tour of Lima. We will
visit the main attractions of the "City of the Kings" in a 4 hour tour.
We will start at the Historical Centre including the Plaza Mayor, the
Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and the Archbishop's
Palace, Drive through the vibrant districts of San Isidro and Miraflores
overlooking the Pacific Ocean and finally we will tour the Huaca
Pucllana, a 2,000-year-old oracle pyramid.

DAY 3
Lima / Cusco
Transfer to Lima airport for
flight to Cusco. Upon arrival in Cusco, transfer to hotel. Morning at
leisure. In the afternoon we will explore this most magical city,
capital of the Inca Empire (15th century) on a tour including the Plaza
Regocijo, Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Santo Domingo Monastery -the
legendary Korikancha Temple- and the old town. We drive out of the city
to visit the Inca sites of Tambomachay, Kenko, Puca-Pucara and
impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

DAY 4
Cusco / Sacred Valley
Sacred Valley Tour. Today we
drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas and visit the Inca fortress
of Ollantaytambo, strolling through the Inca town where time seems to
have stopped 500 years ago. Lunch at a nearby inn. Shop in the lively
and colorful Indian Pisac market where locals following ancient
traditions, sell or exchange their products.

DAY 5
Machu Picchu
Machu Picchu excursion.
Transfer to Ollanta train station for train service to Machu Picchu, the
Lost City of the Incas.Three hour guided tour of the marvelous citadel,
visiting the main plaza, the royal quarters, the Temple of Three
Windows, the circular tower and the sacred Sun Dial and burial grounds.
Enjoy buffet lunch at Orient Express' Sanctuary Lodge next to the
citadel.

Machu Picchu /
Cusco
Early start is recommended
to admire Machu Picchu at sunrise, a truly mystical experience. For the
hiking enthusiasts, going up the Huayna Picchu peak overlooking the site
or trekking the original Inca trail to the Intipunku or Sun Gate is
suggested. Afternoon train service to Cusco station and transfer to
selected hotel.
